As we always like to do, in January 2020 we will be closing our doors for 1 week to give our machines some TLC.

 Closed from Monday 13th until Friday 17th January 2020 (5 days).

The MAD Museum will be open as normal from Saturday 18th January 2020, 10am until 5:30pm.

The team at MAD has been working on something pretty exciting and we would finally like to tell you about it–

We recently purchased an old red telephone box on Henley Street in Stratford upon Avon. It’s located on the opposite end of the street to our MAD Museum, near Windsor Street. For sometime we have been racking our brains trying to think about what we could do with this exciting iconic British symbol.

We decided to talk to one of our absolute favourite resident artists, Pascal Bettex and commission him to create an exciting moving sculpture to be contained inside the red telephone box. We asked him to produce a machine which embodies the best of MAD and Stratford – a brilliant mix of historical acclaim and forward- thinking inventiveness.

Pascal is currently working on building the mesmerising new moving sculpture and the telephone box installation will take place in January 2020. Watch this space!

Every day our team are making more kits and trying very hard to keep up with the demand. If you would like to purchase a kit before Christmas and the kit you want is showing as “sold out”, all we can say is please keep trying. We are a small team but we are working as fast as we can on this every day.
